Who I am

Here. Then. & Now. is a trading name used by Ric Frankland, a sole trader. For data protection purposes, I am responsible for the personal information collected through this website and in connection with my walking tours.

Information I collect

I may collect:

  • Your name and email address when you subscribe to the mailing list.

  • Your contact details, booking information and any messages you send when you make an enquiry or book a walking tour.

  • Limited technical information about visits to this website, such as your IP address, browser, device and pages visited, through cookies and website analytics.


If you book through a third-party booking platform, it may pass on the information I need to administer your booking. Its own privacy policy will also apply.

How I use your information

I use personal information to:

  • Send newsletters and tour updates where you have subscribed and given your consent.

  • Respond to enquiries.

  • Process and manage walking tour bookings.

  • Contact you with essential information about a tour you have booked.

  • Maintain appropriate financial and business records.

Newsletter emails

If you subscribe, I’ll send you occasional information about forthcoming walking tours and related Manchester stories.

  • IT and professional service providers where reasonably necessary.


I may also disclose information if required by law. Payment providers process card payments securely, and I do not receive or store your complete card details.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I rely on the safeguards used by those providers, such as recognised adequacy arrangements or approved data protection clauses.
