If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is used, please contact me at:
Information I collect
I may collect:
Your name and email address when you subscribe to the mailing list.
Your contact details, booking information and any messages you send when you make an enquiry or book a walking tour.
Limited technical information about visits to this website, such as your IP address, browser, device and pages visited, through cookies and website analytics.
If you book through a third-party booking platform, it may pass on the information I need to administer your booking. Its own privacy policy will also apply.
How I use your information

Send newsletters and tour updates where you have subscribed and given your consent.
Respond to enquiries.
Process and manage walking tour bookings.
Contact you with essential information about a tour you have booked.
Maintain appropriate financial and business records.
Understand how people use the website and help improve it.
The legal basis for using your information will normally be your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or my legitimate interest in operating and improving the walking tour business.

Emails will usually be sent fortnightly or monthly, and never more than once a week.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter or by contacting me directly.
You have an absolute right to object to your personal information being used for direct marketing at any time.
Sharing your information
I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not share it with other organisations for their own marketing.

Squarespace, which hosts the website and mailing list.
Booking and ticketing providers.
Payment providers.
IT and professional service providers where reasonably necessary.
I may also disclose information if required by law. Payment providers process card payments securely, and I do not receive or store your complete card details.
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I rely on the safeguards used by those providers, such as recognised adequacy arrangements or approved data protection clauses.
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses essential cookies so that it can operate properly. With your permission, it may also use analytics cookies to understand website traffic and how visitors use the site.
You can accept or reject optional cookies through the website’s cookie banner. Some embedded services, such as maps or videos, may also use cookies and are covered by the privacy policies of their respective providers.

Booking and payment records may be retained for up to six years where required for accounting, tax or legal purposes.
Other information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
